Dr. Jyotisman Bora was working as a Project-SRF (Direct) in the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, where he is associated with the MAST Lab.He completed his graduation from Nowgong College under Gauhati University and earned his Master’s degree from Gauhati University. He pursued his Ph.D. at the Institute of Advanced Study in Science and Technology (IASST).

Manoj Matpathi
Intern
Research- 2D material-based SOT devices
Manoj Matpathi is a former intern at the Magnetism and Spin Technologies (MAST) Lab, Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering, IIT Guwahati. His research interests include magnetic spin textures and magnetoacoustics, with a focus on developing thin-film magnetoelectric composites for functional device applications. He completed his B.Sc. in Physics from the Central University of Karnataka in 2023, followed by an M.Sc. in Physics. His research work centers on magnetoelectric coupling between magnetic and piezoelectric thin films, where magnetization can be controlled using an electric field and electric polarization can be tuned via an external magnetic field—an effect with strong potential for applications in sensors, tunable filters, inductors, and spintronic devices.
